Activation Energy supports the world’s top science innovators in bridging the gap from concepts to products that can benefit humanity. As co-creators and managers of the Cyclotron Road entrepreneurial fellowship program, we have supported 42 science entrepreneurs since 2015, leading to 30 new hard tech companies that have attracted more than $80 million in early-stage funding from best-in-class investors and corporations. Thanks to a multi-year grant from a major donor, we aim to expand our program offering to new geographies and impact areas in 2019.
The CTO will serve as Managing Director for a new program office and primary advisor for our growing community of fellows working in the field of advanced microsystems. She or he will provide leadership to the Activation Energy team and external stakeholders across academia, industry, finance, and government as we work to create the world’s leading platform to support the commercial application of hard science and technology.
