Tandem PV: The Next Evolution in Photovoltaics

By pairing perovskite—in a material that is transparent to infrared light, stable, and low-cost—with conventional solar cells, Tandem PV is leading an important evolution in solar energy. Its product is a breakthrough technology that sharply reduces the cost of solar by upgrading the sunlight-to-electricity efficiency found in of silicon or CIGS PV modules. Tandem PV is seeking a thin-film Process Engineer for its San Jose, Calif., facility as well as a solution-based perovskite thin-film Process Engineer to work at its Golden, Colo., facility.

  • The thin-film Process Engineer (San Jose, Calif.) will focus on the research and development of various materials, process and tool design projects. The qualified individual will be able to process thin-film semiconducting materials and optimize and troubleshoot deposition and patterning processes.   • The solution-based perovskite thin-film Process Engineer (Golden, Colo.) will perform research and development on various projects. The qualified individual will be able to process solvent-based thin-film semiconducting layers and optimize and troubleshoot the processes. Additionally, the qualified individual will be able to perform thin-film and semiconductor metrology and be able to interpret results.
