Antora Energy, Fervo Energy, Mosaic Materials and Visolis—four startups founded by Cyclotron Road fellows and alumni—received a total of $7.5 million in funding from a pair of Department of Energy offices as well as from the DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (APRA-E) this month.

Cyclotron Road cohort company Mosaic Materials has received a Phase I SBIR award from the Department of the Navy to develop adsorbents for life-support applications. Utilizing their metal-organic framework technology, Mosaic Materials’ technology has the potential to substantially improve the performance and reduce the energy consumption of the CO2 scrubbing system of Naval submarines.
