Antora Energy, Fervo Energy, Mosaic Materials and Visolis—four startups founded by Cyclotron Road fellows and alumni—received a total of $7.5 million in funding from a pair of Department of Energy offices as well as from the DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (APRA-E) this month.
Visolis, founded by Cyclotron Road alumnus Deepak Dugar, won $250,000 in NYSERDA's 76West Clean Energy Competition.
Sepion Technologies, led by Cyclotron Road innovator Peter Frischmann (Cohort Two) was recently awarded a Phase II STTR award totaling $1,000,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy, while Visolis Inc., let by alumnus Deepak Dugar (Cohort One), was recently awarded two Phase II SBIR awards, one from the U.S. Department of Energy and the other from the National Science Foundation.
Visolis was recently awarded a $600,000 SBIR Phase II award from the US Department of Agriculture.
Visolis, in partnership with Berkeley Lab, recently won a DOE SBIR award to use its bio-thermochemical process to demonstrate upgrading of agri-residues and municipal solid waste into higher value chemicals. Visolis also received support from DOE's SBV program to scale up its process in partnership with NREL and PNNL.
